Try a little first. Flower petals as a trail side nibble or a bit of white in salads. Dried, the leaves can be used as tea or smoked like tobacco. The flowers are mixed with sticky balls of rice and allowed to ferment in water to make a spirit. The leaves are also used in making  wine.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMaking a Broad-spectrum Antimicrobial Tincture with Bidens\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBidens should be tinctured using fresh leaves. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIngredients:\u003cbr\u003e4 cups of freshly picked bidens leaves, compressed\u003cbr\u003e6 tbsp. of pepper, freshly ground (omit if the person has diarrhea) Note that dried herbs and spices lose their effectiveness over time, so if your pepper is old, buy fresh whole pepper berries for this recipe.\u003cbr\u003e1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and coarsely grated\u003cbr\u003e100 proof Vodka to fill a quart jar\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDirections:\u003cbr\u003ePlace fresh Bidens leaves, pepper, and ginger in a wide mouth quart jar.\u003cbr\u003eFill with vodka or whiskey with the highest alcohol content you can find. In BC we are limited to 40% alcohol and this is sufficient. But if you can buy vodka or whiskey with a higher alcohol content you can use that.\u003cbr\u003eMacerate for 6 to 8 weeks, shaking the jar as often as you think of it. Strain.\u003cbr\u003eBottle in colored glass bottles and cap tightly. Store in a cool dry place. The tincture should last several years.\u003cbr\u003eDose: 45 to 90 drops in water up to 4 x daily.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI ship in a regular white envelope with a stamp so that I don’t have to charge $8 per packet of seeds.  This works out fine 99% of the time.  Occasionally the postal service machines damage seeds.  If that happens please contact me and I will replace them.
